Slack App Privacy Policy

What Data We Collect
When you connect your Slack workspace to Prooflater, we store:
- Your Slack user ID and workspace (team) ID
- Your workspace name (for display purposes)
- An OAuth access token to send you direct messages
How We Use Your Data
We use your Slack connection exclusively to:
- Send you direct message notifications about rooms you participate in
- Post notifications to channels you explicitly link to rooms
- Display rich previews when Prooflater links are shared in Slack
- Process slash commands you initiate
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer your Slack data to any third parties. Your OAuth token is stored encrypted and used solely for the purposes described above.
Data Retention
Your Slack connection data is retained while your account is active. You can disconnect your Slack workspace at any time from your profile settings, which immediately deletes the stored connection data and OAuth token.
Your Rights
You can disconnect your Slack workspace from the Prooflater profile page at any time. This immediately revokes the OAuth token and removes all stored Slack data. Deleting your Prooflater account also removes all associated Slack connections.
