What We Collect
When you create an account on Prooflater, we collect:
- Your email address (used for authentication and notifications)
- Display name and username (for your public profile)
- Claims, votes, and comments you submit within rooms
- OAuth tokens if you connect third-party services (e.g. Slack)
How We Use It
Your data is used to operate Prooflater and provide its core features:
- Authenticating your account and maintaining your session
- Displaying your claims, votes, and track record
- Sending notifications about rooms you participate in
- Generating AI-powered prediction reports (Pro plan)
- Processing subscription payments
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. Claims are hashed using SHA-256 to ensure tamper-proof integrity. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Prooflater:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Polar — subscription billing and payments
- Vercel — hosting and deployment
- Slack — optional workspace integration (see Slack Privacy Policy)
Data Retention
Your account data is retained while your account is active. Claims and votes within rooms are retained as part of the room's permanent record (this is core to Prooflater's accountability model). If you delete your account, your profile information is removed but anonymized claim records may be retained for room integrity.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated personal data
- Disconnect third-party integrations at any time
- Export your data upon request
